A seat carved from a single slab

The Pacífico chair is carved from one solid slab of Guanacaste, hollowed by hand into a low, enveloping seat. The pale sapwood is left to run around the rim as a natural live edge, so the shape of the tree stays part of the finished chair.

The heavy, sculptural shell is set on a minimal black steel base that seems to lift it off the floor — a contrast of mass and line, warmth and structure. From every angle the grain reads differently, flowing across the seat like water.
