Designed as fine art. Carved to endure.

Bernardo Urbina, trained at Pratt Institute and Politecnico di Milano, shapes every commission piece by piece in his Tilarán woodshop — built from reused shipping containers. We preserve the wood's natural anomalies, and we never repeat a form.

The process

How a commission works

Consultation

We define proportions, style, and wood.

Every piece starts with a conversation, not a catalog. Tell us about the room, how you use it, what you have in mind. In person in Guanacaste or over video — free, no obligation.

Concept

Hand sketches explore the form.

Bernardo sketches the form by hand, with renders when they help. We refine it together until it feels right. Nothing is built until you approve the design.

Material

You choose from our hardwood inventory.

You choose the wood — solid Guanacaste, Cenizaro, Teak, Laurel, or Cedar, kiln-dried in our own shop. We match species and grain to the piece and the room it will live in.

Crafting

Shaped, carved, and finished by hand.

Your piece is shaped, carved, and finished by hand in our Tilarán shop. Most commissions take 6–12 weeks, depending on scope. We send progress photos along the way.

Delivery

White-glove handling and placement.

We deliver and place the piece ourselves across Costa Rica — Nosara, Tamarindo, Papagayo, Santa Teresa — and crate carefully for international shipping. We make sure it sits exactly right.

Contact us
What kind of furniture do you make?

Custom kitchens, doors, tables, seating, beds, mirrors, and lighting — every piece made to order in solid Guanacaste, Teak, Cenizaro, or Laurel. We never build the same piece twice.

What woods do you use?

Solid wood only: Guanacaste (Parota), Cenizaro (Monkey Pod), Teak, Laurel, and Cedar, sustainably sourced and dried in our own kiln. Never veneer, never MDF.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We deliver across Costa Rica and ship worldwide, with methods chosen for size and care.

Where are you located?

We build everything in Tilarán, Guanacaste, and deliver across Costa Rica — Nosara, Tamarindo, Papagayo, Santa Teresa — and internationally.

Can I customize size, wood, and finish?

Yes — every piece is made to order, so size, wood species, and finish are chosen per commission.
