Guanacaste wood dining tables in Costa Rica

Guanacaste wood dining tables, each shaped from a single live-edge slab in our Guanacaste woodshop. We build one-of-a-kind tables in Guanacaste, Cenizaro, and Laurel — the natural edge and grain kept intact, finished by hand and made to your dimensions.

A live-edge dining table in Costa Rica starts with the log, not the drawing: the length, width, and figure of the slab decide what the table can be. Every top is a solid wood dining table in the literal sense — three to three and a half inches thick, kiln-dried in our own Tilarán kiln, set on hand-forged steel, a grain-matched waterfall milled from the same log, or a carved wood base. No veneer, no MDF, and no two alike.

What size dining table can you build?

Any size — every table is made to order. We help you size it to the room and to how you host.

What is a Guanacaste wood table?

A table whose top is a single slab of Guanacaste — Costa Rica's national tree, a lightweight tropical hardwood with bold swirling grain, cut in slabs wide enough for one board to become the whole table. Ours run three to three and a half inches thick, kiln-dried in our own Tilarán kiln, both live edges kept. Nosara seats eight to ten on a raw-steel V-base; the four-metre La Paz seats twelve.

What woods do you use?

Solid Guanacaste, Cenizaro, and Laurel, kiln-dried in-house. We keep the live edge and natural grain.

Do you ship dining tables outside Guanacaste?

Yes — we deliver across Costa Rica and crate for international shipping.

How long does a dining table take to make?

Most dining table commissions take eight to sixteen weeks, depending on slab selection and drying. We send progress photos from the workshop along the way.
