Wood over steel
Nosara is a live-edge dining table in solid Guanacaste — a single slab, three inches thick, with both live edges kept along its length. The warm reddish grain flows the full run of the top, framed by the pale sapwood where the tree once met its bark.
The base is the counterweight to all that mass: a hand-forged V of quarter-inch raw steel, left in its natural mill finish and sealed. Set beneath the heavy slab, the thin steel almost disappears — the table reads as a block of wood floating above a dark line. Organic over industrial, warmth over edge.
The name comes from the Nicoya coast — unhurried, warm, a little wild. A table for long lunches that don't end, for a room that opens to the outside. Each one starts with the search for the right slab, so no two Nosara tables are the same.
