A single slab, a whole entrance
The Reventazón door began as one solid slab of Guanacaste, chosen for the way its live edge and grain move down the length of the wood. Rather than trim that edge away, we set it against black steel and glass so the natural line becomes the centre of the composition.
The result is an entry that feels architectural and warm at once — a heavy, solid-wood door balanced on a steel frame, with a glass sidelight that carries daylight into the hall. Matte black hardware keeps the focus on the wood.
Built, finished, and installed by our team for Casa Santos, the Reventazón door is one of a kind: no two slabs, and no two doors, are ever the same.
