A curve drawn by the wood
Where the Reventazón door follows a straight live edge, the Sarapiquí door takes its shape from a slab whose natural edge sweeps in a long curve. We set that curve against a black steel infill so the arc of pale sapwood becomes the whole gesture of the door.
It's a quieter, more sculptural piece — solid Guanacaste balanced by steel, with the same hand-finished warmth as the entry it sits beside. Together the two doors read as a pair, each named for a Costa Rican river.
Built, finished, and installed by our team for Casa Santos, the Sarapiquí door is one of a kind: the curve belongs to that slab and no other.
